She began modeling at the age of 13, left school and moved to New York to do so, to decide to try her hand at acting a few years later. After a few years of small TV jobs, she got her first lead role as a heroine on Aaron Spelling's soap opera Sunset Beach, where she played the virginal heroine Meg Cummings.
In 1999 wanted to pursue a film career, she had a radical change of image, both its physical image (including breast implants and other cosmetic surgery) and her personality than in the press, a portrayed (by a "good girl" image wild child persona based in a provocative interviews).
